A Fresh Look, A History of Excellence

Under the new ownership of Laura Gates and Jeanette Aylward, Arlington Dance Academy, formerly McDonald Dance Academy, will continue to develop and grow the concepts Linda McDonald started 28 years ago. Our studio has a strong, successful history. We take pride in the quality training we provide the community. Our goal is to continue to foster a love and appreciation for dance in an environment that is welcoming.  We strive to help our dancers grow as people, as artists, and as dancers. 

Arlington Dance Academy offers classes in ballet, jazz, hip hop, modern, contemporary and tap. Our amazing faculty members stress proficient use of dance terminology, technique and theory. We believe it is important for students to be exposed to different styles of teaching. We host guest teachers and choreographers from the Chicagoland professional dance community who work with our Ensemble members and teach our intensives. 

Arlington Dance Academy students have been awarded scholarships from Chicago National Association of Dance Masters, have performed in local productions, and are involved in their High School Orchesis programs and dance teams. We have students who have chosen to continue their dance training at the college level and who have gone on to dance professionally.
